Gateway Cup was this past weekend was great
Pastor Chris:
Small congregation open to everyone, very progressive.
Church has had a rough year, and has had a water main break that cost them $16k
October 2, 5pm-9pm they are having a fundraising concert
Closing that block of McNair for the concert
No admission cost, freewill offering and raffle
Police Report: Officer Jazmon Garrett
Department is short-staffed which is why she was not able to make the past meetings
Crime Stats:
Up 14.3%
24 vs 21 last year
YTD up 8/7%
137 crimes vs 126 last year
Last 30 days – larcenies and vehicle thefts
Robbery 2nd on Utah, arrested on scene
Rape/Sex Offense on Lemp/Cherokee – still ongoing investigation
Residential burglary – door was unlocked
Catalytic converter thefts and leaving things out in plain view
Alderman’s Report: Dan Guenther, 9th Ward
Last week of break for alderman board
Some COVID funds being handed out
Homeless assistance, utility assistance, revamp board of elections equipment
Should be able to vote at any polling location using your registration card – 1.5 years away
Still have portal open to suggest COVID funding uses
New businesses in the neighborhood
5 Star Senior Center:
Provide delivered meals and day trips for seniors
Still closed for COVID
Still have services available for home delivery and transport

Treasurer’s Report/ COVID19 relief program: Liz Gerard
Net loss through 6/30 of $5,000
Some items not reflected yet, events and gateway cup in particular
$2,000 sponsor check not deposited yet, plus revenue from gateway cup
Also ordered house plaques, still have 10 in stock – can buy on website
Liz moved to Fox Park, Ryan Eli taking over as treasurer for next term
Committee Reports:
Building Review Committee - Tim Mulligan (Chair)
London Tea Room on Gravois
2014 Gravois – trying to use it as a storage facility
Denied because zoned as manufacturing because they transfer tea from one packaging to another – receive large boxes of tea and move into bags
Asking for letter of support
Would only be open 9-5, no retail
Still working on the condos at Pestalozzi and Wisconsin
Hearing at end of month
Same developer has a property on Lynch and want to do a proposal for 2 townhomes
Flyover fund had a hearing a week and a half ago and got approved

Gateway Cup –
Getting 50% of all UCBC sales which we don’t know yet
Jake’s Leg September 19
Tunes on Tap October 9th, still looking for host houses
Steve Ewing band coming up too

9/16 and 9/23 there will be groups at noon-4 to do gardening
Garden Committee - Bill Kranz (Chair)
Will be at Jake’s Leg concert with Garden/Cave info table
$1000 expense on tree trimming before end of year
Want to do some more drilling 4-8 holes around northern edge of garden
Dog Park Committee - Nicole Poston (Chair)
Gardening day rescheduled to 10/9 10am-2pm
Dog park happy hours starting first Wednesday of every month for members
Working on fundraiser
