             Welcome from Don. – Announcements

  • New bronze plaques are in and available for order on website


Approval of last meeting’s minutes – APPROVED without objection


Police Report: Officer Jazmon Garrett

  • 60 day crime report

    • Total of 27 crimes reported

      • Majority larcenies from vehicles, catalytic converter thefts (vehicle part larceny)

      • 5 vehicles stolen, 1 recovered, 1 other person f interest ID’d

      • Residential burglary from unoccupied residence

    • Do not leave anything of value visible in your car, lock your doors, make sure surveillance systems are working and on

    • Within past 14 days, crime is down 72%, only 3 crimes vs 11 at same time last year

    • Past 30 days crime up 7.7% 14 vs 13

    • Year over year crime is up, 48 crimes vs 43 crimes

  • If you hear gunshots call them in, they can take samples of the casings


Alderman’s Report: Dan Guenther, 9th Ward

  • COVID Update

    • Massive vaccination push at the dome – 7 days a week

      • Tell neighbors and friends – sign up through state of Missouri and stlouis-mo.gov

        • Seniors can get free rides and there is a number

    • Mortgage and rental assistance information on the site as well

    • $500m allocated to the city to address long term issues in the city

      • Funding for firefighters, funding for police, etc

  • Lynch and Jefferson project – they are close to finalizing their financing so they are ready to move ahead

  • AB Campus – Evergrain is going in there – 50-60 biochemist jobs at their new facility

  • Lemp and Areenal pedestrian hit incident

    • 2 proposals for Lemp and Arsenal and Lemp and Missouri

      • He will be presenting those proposals for curb bump-outs to funnel traffic

      • Can’t do speed hump because of snow route and bus route

Committee Reports:

  • Building Review Committee - Tim Mulligan (Chair)

    • One letter of support delivered for 2913 Indiana

      1. Old frame building form 1800s 

      2. They are doing an addition to the old building

    • Zoning change requested at café piazza

  • Events Committee – Brittany Nelson (Chair)

    • Locking down dates for events

    • Proposed concert every month starting in May through September

      1. Low Key shows, no alcohol or food sales, can bring own

    • Trying to put together tunes on tap as well

  • Safety Committee - Barbara Vindiola (Chair) – no updates

  • Marketing/Web/Social Media – no updates

  • Parks Committee – Dan Guenther (Chair)

    • Looking for someone to take that committee over and to volunteer

    • Friday 4/9 at 9am to noon looking for volunteers to help with mulch and park maintenance

    • Birghtside St. Louis can provide tools to blocks to take care of cleanup on your blocks

      1. Can also get roll-off dumpster to haul away debris

      2. Contact Dan, Brightside, or Barb Potts for the tools/dumpsters

  • Garden Committee - Bill Kranz (Chair)

    • Mushroom farm down in the cave is one option

    • Public Access into the cave need to establish a system

  • Dog Park Committee - Nicole Poston (Chair)

    • Considering a dog park fundraising event

      1. Idea is event in Benton Park on April 25th with a couple of food trucks and bring your pets for a pet parade

      2. Would be allowed maximum is 250 people and there are social distancing requirements etc., need permit (special events permit), might be a tight deadline for the permits, also need the restrooms open by that date as well

    • Membership fees is $24-36 per year if new members want to join once it is open

    • Garden days April 24th 10am-2pm for gardening volunteers
